What now?
Once your bike is booked in and we've received it, we'll check it over and provide you with a couple of quotes to choose from, where applicable. We'll never do work on your bike that you haven't pre approved.
When will it be ready?
It depends on the nature of the repair or service, we'll let you know a date with the quote. Some can be done while you wait others a week or so.
What will it cost?
£30 for first hour and £20ph there after, here are a few examples to give you an idea.
Why use us?
Because we enjoy fixing bike and we're good at it! or... We're experienced, qualified and insured. Offer a collection service incase you can't get your bike to the workshop. Carry out many repairs while you wait. Every bike receives a full safety check. We improve repair times by keeping a good stock of parts. Our services are tailored to your bike and your budget. We agree a price before doing any work and provide a written summary of work completed.....

Hampshire Constabulary We were approached by Southampton Central Police Station to formulate a service plan for their fleet of marked and non marked Police bikes. Soon after commencing work we were invited to maintain the fleet at Portswood and Shirley Stations as well. |

The University of Southampton rideride attend the University monthly to provide a Bike Dr service to staff and students. This is a free service paid for the by University to promote cycling and as you can imagine it is well used. rideride also head up the Uni Cycle project at the University. With staff and student volunteers the high number of abandoned bikes on campus are diverted from landfills and made road worthy, ready to be sold to staff and students. |

Sustrans In a series of Monday evenings from Aug '10 to June '11 rideride delivered maintenance courses at St Deny's community centre on behalf of Sustrans. The courses were part of StreetTread, a Sustrans Active Travel Project. |

Southampton City Council The employees at SCC enjoy a monthly bike service whilst at work as part of their Active Travel Plan. rideride are in the Civic Centre bike shed early in the morning to receive employee's bikes as they arrive. The bikes are serviced, parts replaced where necessary and made ready to cycle home at the end of the day. |

Maintenance Courses
Learn bike maintenance with a cup of tea and a hobnob.
Tune Up - The essentials - various weekday evenings 7-9pm, £30*
Cycling is freedom and independence, so why be dependent when it comes to punctures and gear indexing - In 2hrs you'll learn how to check over your bike, fix a puncture (with ease), tighten your brakes and set up your gears. Also meet some like minded people and have an enjoyable evening. *For a limited time this course is being subsidised by MyJourney to only £5, email activetravelsouthampton@sustrans.org.uk or call 023 8083 4219 to book your place.
Straighten Up - Just the wheels - various weekday evenings 7-9pm, £30
Keep those wheels spinning for years to come; learn hub servicing and the art of wheel truing (removing a buckle).
Strip & Rebuild - Strip Fri eve 7-10pm, £45, Rebuild Sat morn 9am-1pm, £60
Have you tried working on your bike only to find you need a component specific tool to get to what you're repairing? The best way to get clued up about your bike is to strip & rebuild it in a fully equipped workshop with a knowledgeable mechanic.
